Cabbage Casserole

 

Ingredients

 

1          small head of cabbage (shredded)

1          small onion (diced)

Salt

Pepper

1          can cream of chicken soup

1          cup Mayonnaise

1          cup sharp cheddar cheese (graded)

½         sleeve of Ritz crackers (crushed)

1          stick Butter

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Lightly spray a 9 x 12 casserole dish. Layer with shredded cabbage, diced onions and then salt and pepper to taste.  

Slice a half stick of butter and place slices on top of cabbage and onions.  Mix together chicken soup and Mayonnaise spread over top.   

COVER and back for 30-40 minutes.  Sprinkle the crushed Ritz cracker and shredded cheese over top of casserole. 

Melt the remaining ½ stick of butter and drizzle over top.  Place casserole back in the oven until cheese has melted and top has browned just a little.
